Nancy Manutomatoma founder of Varua Ora, comes from a family of singers, musicians and dancers and devotes much of his life to the constant promotion of cultural development and ancestral traditions of Rapa Nui, and in particular to everything related to their traditional dance .
Varua Ora was born in March 2010 as a small academy for learning Rapa Nui and Polynesian culture with special emphasis on the field of dance and its varied rhythms and songs. Varua Ora has represented his country participating in foreign festivals such as the Bird Festival in Tahiti in 2012 and 2014; or the festival of Andilly in France, one of the most visited in Europe.
Today Varua Ora invites them to enjoy their work through the ancient dances as the Hoko (warrior dance), Kai-Kai (game thread), the Ute (old songs) and the representation of local legends. Some dances of Polynesia brothers as otea and Aparima (traditional dances of Tahiti) are also performed.
In addition we do private performances for special groups, charters and cruises.
